Interest in alopecia is definitely increasing among men but also among women. In the clinical guidelines for male- and female-pattern baldness, women have fewer options than men. Adipocyte precursor cells have been reported to have important roles in the maintenance of hair follicle stem cells, contributing to their activation and their transition from the resting phase to the growth phase. In this study, adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) including stem cells were used to treat female alopecia Fat from abdomen or thigh was transplanted was injected directly under the patientʼs scalp, and 1–3 injections of an ADRC solution were administered into the scalp over a 12-week period. In all cases, the amount of hair increased, suggesting that the hair regeneration achieved with ADRCs was effective.
