Reconstruction of an Open Skull Fracture with a Free Omental Flap in a Patient who Developed Meningitis after a Deadly Head Injury Caused by Paramotor Propellers

はじめに

　今回われわれは，モーターパラグライダーによって生じた脳実質の挫滅を伴う開放性頭蓋骨骨折から髄膜炎に至った症例を経験した。遊離大網弁を用いた再建を行い救命することができたので，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

　Cases of an open skull fracture with severe traumatic brain injury are rarely reported, presumably due to high prehospital mortality. We describe a case in which a life-threatening open skull fracture in a 62-year-old male with subsequent meningitis was successfully managed by the transplantation of a free omental flap.
