特徴的な画像所見を呈したcarotidyniaの2例

Two cases of carotidynia with distinct radiologic features

carotidyniaは，1927年にFayにより初めて報告された，頸動脈に沿った自発痛や圧痛を特徴とするまれな疾患である^1）。若干の疾患概念や診断基準の変遷を経たものの，近年の画像診断技術の一般化により，その存在と診断については一定のコンセンサスが形成されつつある。通常は対症療法で自然軽快する疾患だが，各種血管炎など重篤な病態も鑑別となり，正確な診断が必要である。今回我々は，特徴的な画像所見を呈したcarotidyniaを2例経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Carotidynia is a rare disorder characterized by spontaneous pain and tenderness along the carotid artery. Although its disease concept and diagnostic criteria have undergone several changes, the widespread use of imaging technologies has led to a growing consensus regarding its existence and diagnosis. While the condition often resolves spontaneously with symptomatic treatment, differential diagnosis must include more serious vascular disorders such as various types of vasculitis, making accurate diagnosis imperative. We report two cases of carotidynia with characteristic imaging findings, along with a brief review of the literature.
