定位放射線治療では腫瘍への照射精度を上げ，正常組織への照射量を低減することが重要である。体幹部定位照射（stereotactic body radiation therapy：SBRT）は，限局した小腫瘍に対して，局所制御の向上と周囲臓器への有害事象低減を目的に，多方向から照射する技術と照射する放射線を病変に正確に照準する技術の両者を満たすもので，従来の放射線治療よりも大線量を短期間に照射する^1）2）。SRBTでは腫瘍位置を正確に把握するために，病変周囲に「目印」となる金属マーカー留置が行われる。

This review emphasizes the importance of understanding marker placement techniques in radiation oncology. It provides insights into the technical success rates, complications, and critical considerations for the procedure, underscoring the necessity of accurate placement for optimal treatment outcomes.
