核医学検査におけるアーチファクトは血糖値など被検者による生理的なアーチファクトと機械や技術的なものによる物理的アーチファクトに大きく分類される。また，これらのアーチファクトにより，ピットフォールが生じ，正常像であるにもかかわらず，異常所見と読影してしまうことも起こりうる。本稿では近年臨床現場でも身近になった¹⁸F-FDG-PET/CTを中心に核医学検査画像における注意すべきアーチファクトについて述べる。

Nuclear medicine examinations, such as positron emission tomography（PET）and scintigraphy, are different from other diagnostic imaging methods in that they can measure metabolic and receptor images in the body, but they have inherent artifacts due to the lack of morphological information. In this article, the factors of pitfall caused by various artifacts in various nuclear medicine examinations are described, as well as some important points to keep in mind for interpretation.
