Central skull base lesions

頭蓋底疾患の診断には，その複雑な解剖構造や貫通する多くの血管や神経を理解しておく必要がある。しかし難しくみえる症例でも病変部位や性状を把握することで，鑑別を絞ることができる。ここでは頭蓋底の中心，central skull baseにおける診断すべきポイントを概説する。

We demonstrate image findings of the central skull base（CSB）lesion. The CSB has complex anatomical structures including important nerves and vessels. The vast repertories of intra-/extra-cranial and primary/secondary CSB lesions are included. Although MR is useful for localization and characterization of CSB lesions, attention is focused on bone changes in CT, so that the state of the lesion can be grasped.
