災害救援を志望する看護学生の特性に関する研究—援助規範意識・共感性・向社会的行動ならびに災害および災害発生地の優先順位

A Study of the Characteristics of the Nursing Students with the Will to Participate in Disaster Relief Activities

　災害に関心を持ち、自らも災害救援に参加したいと考えるもの、すなわち災害救援を志望する学生はどのような特性を持つめか。

　今回の研究では、81名の看護学生に対し、援助規範意識・共感性・向社会的行動、ならびに災害および災害発生地の優先順位決定とその理由についての質問紙調査を依頼し、62名より回答を得た。

　結果として、災害救援を志望する学生の援助規範意識・共感性・向社会的行動得点すべてが、志望しない学生に比べ、有意に高い傾向にあった。また、災害発生時に最も優先される、もしくは最も優先されない災害および災害発生地の優先順位決定とその理由においても、災害救援志望する学生とそうでない学生の間に顕著な差がみられた。

　災害救援への志望のある学生は、ヒューマニティを基盤とした利他的な性格をその特性として持つことが示唆された。この研究が、災害看護学確立の有用性について考える一助となれば幸いである。

Abstract

　What kind of characteristics do the nursing students with the will to participate in disaster relief activities have?

　This study was designed to make clear the specific characteristics of the nursing students with the will to participate in disaster relief activities and was carried out according to the following three dimensions; normative attitude; empathy; pro-social behavior. The study was conducted using a questionnaire sheet given to 81 nursing students as a sample group and of which 62 were returned completed.

　The major result of this study illustrated that the students who have the will showed higher scores with significant difference than those who don't have it on all those three dimensions. In addition, the answer to what place should be visited first in terms of emergency, and the answer to what kind of disaster or disaster areas should be taken care of indicated remarkable differences between the nursing students who have the will and those who don't have it.

　The result of this study suggested that the nursing students with the will to participate in disaster relief activities have an altruistic character based on humanity as one of the specific characteristics. I hope this study could contribute to the development of the Disaster Nursing for the future.
