The aim of this study was to describe the continuity of people with type2 diabetes. We conducted interviews with five people who visit a diabetes clinic regularly about past experience, current condition, and anticipated future. The data were analyzed by Qualitative Synthesis Method (KJ Method).
Three themes were identified relating to discontinuity, [difficulty of capturing current condition because of lack of feeling of change in the body], [unsteadiness of looking ahead to the future because of uncertainty of the body], [being faced to rethink ways to be through life events]. Three themes were identified relating to maintain continuity were [intention to what they want to be through feeling pleasure], [avoidance of body deterioration and maintenance of health], [maintenance of lifestyle through common practice by approximation]. These themes led to [expanding consciousness to others]. The results showed that seeing continuity with patients was important for nurses to help people with type2 diabetes, so they able to look ahead to their future and manage their life in line with what they want to be,
