Effectiveness of occupational therapy for the elderly : A critical literature review

要旨：「高齢者に対する作業療法」というテーマについて文献を集め，それを批判的にレビューしたところ選択基準に合う41本の文献が見つかった．先行研究と比較するとエビデンスの全体量・種類が増えてきており，根拠に基づく作業療法を実施するのに有益な結果であった．傾向としては，エビデンスの証明力が高い研究デザイン，大きな対象者数が用いられるようになっていたが，妥当性を低下させる要因として，対象者の統制や研究デザインの不備などが見られた．

　This article synthesizes research findings regarding the effects of occupational therapy for the elderly. A critical literature review of 41 studies was completed which showed that both the number and types of research evidence have increased since the publication of similar studies. The results of this research should prove useful for evidence-based occupational therapy. Some of the 41 studies used a high quality design and a large sample. However, others exhibited evidence of poor research design such as problematic sample selection.
