要旨：デイケア利用者35名に対して老研式活動能力指標(TMIG)，日常生活満足度(SDL)，抑うつ状況を調査した．TMIGとSDLに相関関係はみられなかったが，抑うつとSDLとの間には負の相関がみられた．また，今回調査した半数の者が抑うつ的であり，かつ，抑うつ的状況にあることとTMIGの下位項目である社会的役割が低いことに関連がみられた．活動能力の低下が即，日常生活の満足度の低下につながらないこと，およびデイケアにおけるプログラム立案には，社会的役割が遂行できる活動を検討する必要があることが示唆された．

　The purpose of this study is to investigate relations between the abilities of activities and the degree of satisfaction with daily life for outpatients who receive day-care services. Subjects included 35 outpatients who receive day-care services. And the results were as follows :

　1. A correlation wasn't seen in the abilities of activities and the degree of life satisfaction. However, there was a relationship between depression and the degree of life satisfaction.

　2. Abilities of activities were not influenced by the existence of depression.

　3. There was a very slight correlation between abilities of activities and satisfaction with daily life.

　4. About half of the subjects suffered from depression, and they showed low value in the part of the social role.

　The result of this study suggested that it was necessary to consider the activities that can carry out patients' social roles within program planning in day-care services.
