要旨:精神障害者と接触した経験のほとんどない作業療法学科1年生を対象に,精神科に対するイメージ修正を行う目的で,病院見学を実施した.その結果,見学前のオリエンテーション及びアンケートは,見学のイメージ化と精神科に対する感情表出を促し,個人の期待と不安及び見学目的を明らかにし,内容の共有化により心理的安全感をもたらした.見学そのものは,イメージ修正にはなったが,内容を深く理解するまでには至らなかった.また,見学で期待したものが得られたとする者が多かったが,不安の解消に至った者は半数に留まった.見学後に行われたフィードバックから影響を受けた者が多く,特に自分自身の変化を指摘する者が目立った.
For the purpose of forming a correct image of psychiatric medicine, the first grade students had an educational visit to a psychiatric hospital. Prior to the visit, the instructor in charge gave some guidances about the visit. The instructor did a survey on students' expectations and apprehensions about the visit. The survey revealed that many students wanted to know about medical treatments of psychiatric patients and circumstances of the hospital and the relationship between medical people and patients. At the same time, many students experienced some fear of actual contact with patients.
After the visit, many students seemed to have revised their images of a psychiatric hospital. It seemed a little difficult, though, for students to understand the contents of psychiatric treatment of patients. Also, students' fear of contact with patients was not settled enough.
As a whole, however, students obtained useful feedback from this educational visit to the psychiatric hospital.
