Abstract : All elderly patients including those with cognitive impairment deserve rehabilitation. The elderly tend to suffer multiple chronic diseases, acute illness, and serious injuries, all of which combine to result in disabilities in their activities of daily living. Therefore, timely rehabilitation is essential for the elderly. Medical and nutritional management based on comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) is an important step to help preserve functions for elderly persons who undergo rehabilitation. For outpatients at ambulatory rehabilitation clinics, a short form of CGA named CGA7 is highly recommended.
