  • Look Inside

In the latter half of the 1990's, endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) was developed as a new and minimally invasive method for varicose veins in lower extremities and good results were reported. The primary varicose vein (≦12 mm) is indicated of this procedure. PulseYAG lasers were reported to be able to reduce the risk of postoperative complications, resulting in a shorter absorption length than diode lasers. Under an ultrasound-guided TLA (tumescent local anesthesia), the laser ablation was performed.
