ICU多職種連携は，現行の診療報酬制度では，加算を得るための要件の1つとなっている。効果的なケアの提供に不可欠であると考えられているが，エビデンスの質は高くない。多職種連携の効果を評価する際には，ICU多職種連携が充実するための要素を評価するだけではなく，医療の質のようなICU多職種連携によってもたらされるアウトカムを評価するべきである。そして，ICU多職種連携のパフォーマンスを向上するためには，組織的な支援を受けることが重要である。

Interprofessional collaboration in the intensive care units （ICU-IPC） is one of the requirements to gain some medical fees from the Japanese healthcare system. Though it is believed that ICU-IPC is needed to provide effective care for patients and informal caregivers, there was no high-quality evidence to support favorite results for ICU-IPC. This article suggests evaluating factors related to the performance of ICU-IPC and quality indicators of medical care improved by ICU-IPC, on which hospital managers focus. The reason is that, if ICU-IPC is able to receive organizational support from the institution, it could improve important factors to maintain the performance of ICU-IPC like infrastructure, organization, logistics, and team governance by institutional support.
