The purpose of this study is to point out the method of useful nursing care for the rehabilitation to schizophrenic patient. The analysis of care-technique for those patients is indispensable to train people as nurses or care staffs. The research, the two year observation of two patients by VTR, analyzes the structure and meaning of nursing care. The two patients did not need any physical care, and were treated here mainly by communication technique, which will be discussed later, to achieve to live in an apartment apart from their family. By the results of analysis we reached the following six categories of communication techniques for the care : (1)to encourage them in their self-reliance, (2)to verbalize their troubled mind and to hold it in common with nurse, (3)to assure that the patient has a good company, (4)to give feed-back of patient's improvement of realization, (5)to give instructions to start concrete action, (6)to confirm and support patient's intention. Those techniques of care are based on the principles(a)to heighten the patient's will to rehabilitation and confirm thatthe patient decides one's discharge from hospital, (b)to support and lead to realistic action. We consider above mentioned six categories of technique support and work well to the principles of rehabilitation of schizophrenic patients.
