The purpose of this study was to clarify the experience of dissimilar minority of gender in nursing by synthesizing the studies which conceptualize the experience of male nursing student and male nurse, and to examine features of them. Methodology for metasynthesis was used as research methodology. As a result of analysis, six explanatory concepts emerged. These concepts were as follows ; I) Assimilating into dissimilar minority of gender. II) Emphasizing scarcity. III) Pursuing gender roles. IV) Accepting unreasonableness. V) Believing strongly in accepting benefits and valuing as dissimilar minority. VI) Keeping the unacceptable value confidential and retaining. The concepts I, IV, VI and II, III are the inconsistent experiences which emphasize exposing gender dissimilarity to majority while avoiding that. These concepts are the experiences arisen by exposing male-dominated conscious in female-dominated community as well as being conscious about the gender dissimilarity to majority, and by being accepted by majority. The concept V is the experience arisen largely affected by interests, concerns, positive impressions and evaluations of majority, and enforced repeatedly by changing the environment which they belong to.
