Laboratory Detection of Thalassemia

　サラセミアの型（各種）—サラセミアの型については，Weatherallらによって適切に要約されており，α鎖あるいはβ鎖のどちらが不十分に合成されているかによって，α-サラセミアとβ-サラセミアの二つの主グループに分かれる．

TYPES OF THALASSEMIA-These have been well summarized by Weatherall et al and fall into two main groups^*1, α-thalassemia and β-thalassemia, depending upon whether the α chain or the β chain is inadequately synthesized.
