病態解析のためのmRNA測定技術

Methods for measurement of mRNA in analysis of the condition of a disease

腫瘍を中心とするあらゆる疾患において，その分子生物学的知見が深まるにつれて，病態を解析するうえでmRNAを測定することが重要視されるようになった．mRNAの測定は，疾患の診断のほか，治療法の選択や予後予測に貢献する．その測定手法については定量PCR法をはじめ，ノーザンブロッティング，RNase protection assay，in situ hybridization法，およびDNAマイクロアレイなどがあるが，その目的に応じ，簡便性やコストを加味したうえで手法を選択することが重要となる．

As the molecular biologic knowledge has deepened in every disease mainly in tumors, it has come to be regarded as important to measure mRNA in analyzing the condition of a disease.　The measurement of the mRNA contributes to the diagnosis of the disease, choice of the cure and the prognostic prediction of the disease.　Quantitative PCR, Northan blotting, RNAse protection assay, in situ hybridization, and DNA microarray methods are used for measurement of the mRNA.　Depending on the purpose, it becomes important to choose techniques after having thought about their utility and cost.
