　糖尿病患者においては，血小板機能が亢進していることが報告されており，その特徴は血小板刺激アゴニストに対するhypersensitivityということにまとめられる．この血小板hypersensitivityは糖尿病の早期から認められることから，心血管イベントや脳梗塞の発症に寄与していることが示唆される．その機序として，高血糖による血小板膜蛋白や血管内皮細胞の機能異常，インスリン抵抗性，glycated LDL，血小板turn over亢進などが考えられている．本稿では糖尿病における血小板機能亢進の機序につき概説する．

Increased platelet function in diabetes has been reported in many studies.　The overall picture of platelet dysfunction in diabetes is "hypersensitivity" to agonists.　The molecular mechanism (s) for platelet hypersensitivity in diabetes were studied.　These are such items as glycation of platelet receptors, dysfunction of anti-platelet effects of endothelial cells, insulin resistance, glycated LDL, increased turn-over of platelets in diabetic patients, and so on.　This review summarizes the mechanisms of platelet abnormalities in diabetic patients.
