稀なコレステリン肉芽腫の2症例—上顎骨発生例と頬粘膜発生例—

Two Cases of Cholesterol Granuloma in the Maxillary Bone and Buccal Mucosa

I．はじめに

　耳鼻咽喉科領域で中耳炎以外に発生するコレステリン肉芽腫は稀と思われるが，最近われわれは上顎骨内に発生した1例と頬粘膜に発生した1例を経験した，とくに上顎骨発生例は珍しい球状上顎嚢腫に合併したと考えられる症例であり，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Cholesterol granuloma characterized by giant cells and macrophages in contact with cholesterine clefts, is rare in occurrence in the maxillary bone and oral cavity.

　Case 1 : A 22-year-old man complained of a swelling of the left check. Operation revealed a cyst in the maxillary bone that contained fluid with cholesterol crystals and the granuloma was found in the cystic wall. Globulomaxillary cyst was diagnosed and that is one of rare fissural cyst forming at the fusion of the globular and maxillary processes.

　Case 2 : A woman, aged 70, developed a swelling in the left buccal mucosa. A similar lesion was extirpated 16 years ago. Cholesterol granuloma was discovered in granulation tissue in buccal mucosa.
