A Case of Atypical Carcinoid of the Larynx

I．はじめに

　carcinoidは消化管や気管支などの原腸由来の臓器より発生する腫瘍である。わが国のcarcinoidの発生は1970年4月の阿部^1）のアンケート調査によると154例で，気管支27％，虫垂25％，ついで胃，直腸，小腸，十二指腸の順であった。

　喉頭から発生したcarcinoidは非常に稀で，1969年にGoldmanら^2）が第1例を報告して以来，検索しえた限りでは現在までに本邦3例を含み28例のみである。

　A case of atypical carcinoid of the larynx in a 72-year-old man was reported. The initial clinical finding in this case was a painful mass in the left side of the neck. The pathologic diagnosis of this lymph node was metastatic atypical carcinoid. Indirect laryngoscopy showed a small tumor on the left false vocal cord. This was a primary lesion.

　The patient underwent a total laryngectomy and radical neck dissection. He has been followed in the outpatient clinic for 23 months.

　The previous literature on these rare tumors of the larynx is reviewed.
