Ultrasound Diagnosis of Neck Tumors: Especially, Metastasis of Malignant Tumors

I．はじめに

　近年頭頸部領域でも画像診断の重要性が認識され始めた。単に疾患の診断にとどまらず，手術手技の選択，さらに各種治療の効果判定に非常に有用である。そして従来の視診，触診に加えてより正確な情報を提供してくれることになった。なかでも超音波断層法は患者への侵襲が少なく検査法も容易であるが，いまだ広く普及されておらずその価値が十分に認識されていない。われわれは昭和59年より頭頸部領域の疾患とくに頸部腫瘤に対して超音波断層法を施行してきた。今回は有用な情報を得ることができた頭頸部悪性腫瘍の頸部リンパ節転移症例について報告する。

　It was emphasized that the ultrasonotomography is an usefull approach in diagnosis of neck tumors, and four cases were reported. In conclusion, the significant informations on lymph node metastasis could be obtained by ultrasonotomography. The extension of neck metastasis was accurately evaluated before therapy, and the response of neoplastic lesions to chemotherapy or radiotherapy was also well documented. And this technique was helpful in planning a surgical approach to neck tumors.
