中，高年の鼻アレルギー

Effects of Aging on Nasal Allergy

I．緒言

　鼻アしルギーは気管支喘息とともにI型アレルギーの代表的疾患のひとつである。その発症はIgE抗体を介する抗原抗体反応に基づくものとされている。くしゃみ発作，水性鼻漏，鼻閉を主症状とし，臨床検査では皮内反応，鼻粘膜誘発試験をはじめ鼻汁好酸球の増加，血清IgE値の上昇，特異的IgE抗体の検出等があげられる。しかしながら，血清IgE値が正常の症例も多く，典型的な鼻アレルギー症状をもちながら抗原の同定の困難な例もあり，また自然緩解する例がある等，その病態はなお複雑な一面を持っている。

　最近，加齢による免疫機能の変化について様々の分野にわたり検討されている。アレルギー疾患のひとつである鼻アレルギーにおいてもやはり加齢による影響，変化が考えられる。今回私達は50歳以上の鼻アレルギーの症例につぎ臨床症状ならびに臨床検査成績を検討し，若干の知見を得たので，ここに報告する。

　Forty-four patients with nasal allergy over 50 years of age were compared with 155 patients under 49 years of age. 59.0% of the patients in the aged group had the onset of nasal symptoms in the ages over 50 years. There was no correlation between the aging and the nasal symptoms. 40.9% of the aged group were unknown of the specific antigens. There was correlation between the aging and the production of specific IgE antibody in the patients with positive skin test to house dusts or mites, but not to Japanese cedar pollen.
