義歯食道異物摘出のためのろう義歯模型の作製

A DUPLICATED DENTURE MODEL FOR THE REMOVAL OF DENTAL PROSTHESIS FOREIGN BODY IN THE ESOPHAGUS

　I．はじめに

　食道異物の中で義歯は比較的頻度が高く，その摘出操作には多くの困難・危険を伴うものである。義歯異物摘出に際してこれらの危険を避け，摘出操作を容易にするために最も重要なことは，異物となった義歯の形態，大きさ，鈎の位置・数・形などを前もってできるだけ正確に把握することとされ，そのために誤嚥義歯のスケッチ，歯科主治医への問い合わせなどいろいろ試みられているが，必ずしも満足できる成果は得られないようである。

　筆者らは，患者の口腔内所見ならびに誤嚥した義歯に関する詳しい問診所見から，異物となった義歯の模型を試作し，摘出に際しての参考とすることを考えた。

Based upon the clinical experiences with two cases, the duplicated wax denture was made as much alike as a dental prosthesis which became a foreign body in the esophagus, and the duplicated denture made the removal of the foreign body easy.

Advantages of this method were as follows : 1) Accurate and dependable informations of the foreign body were available. 2) The model could be made with ease in a short time by any dentist. 3) In making the denture, detailed anamnesis should be taken, and the dental charts or diagnostic casts should be used as well. 4) In clinical use, it should be minded that the duplicated denture mentioned above is not completely same as the one swallowed by mistake.
