左翼口蓋窩に転移をきたしたrenal Cell carcinomaの一症例

METASTATIC RENAL CELL CARCINOMA IN THE LEFT RETROMAXILLARY FOSSA

　Ⅰ．はじめに

　頭頸部領域への転移癌は特に稀なものではない。しかし，泌尿器科領域でも比較的稀なrenalcell carcinomaが頭頸部領域に見い出されることはほとんどなく，1例報告が散見される程度である。今回，われわれは翼口蓋窩に転移をきたしたrenal cell carcinomaの1例を経験したのでその概要を報告するとともに若干の文献的考察を加えた。

　A 64-year-old female complained of tinnitus, diplopia, exophthalmus of the left eye and swelling of the left cheek. She underwent a nephrectomy due to renal cell carcinoma 4 years ago.

　Roentgenogram and CT-scan revealed a tumor in the left retromaxillary fossa, which is chiefly fed by the left external carotid artery.

　Ligation of the left external carotid artery and biopsy of the tumor were performed. Soon after the operation, tinnitus and pulsation of the cheek were disappeared. Pathological diagnosis was metastatic clear cell carcinoma. Her symptoms have been well controlled by the ligation for 8 months.
