  • Look Inside

The authors have developed a new type of audiometer in which the measurement of the air-bone conduction threshold obtained through the standard method and the bone conduction threshold, excepting for the masking method, could be simultaneously attained.

The characteristic features of this equipment are as follows :

 1. The instrument is provided with a microcomputer which is capable of performing the testing program of the subject's response to sound stimuli and comparison of the measured data simultaneously.

 2. The instrument is, also, provided with an audiogram display unit with standard audiogram symbols and character display panel with instructions comprehensive to the examines.

 3. The instrument could be used as a conventional audiometer.

 4. The digital terminal data measurement could be readily adjusted at the discretion of the user. A more detailed information of the audiogram may be obtained if aided by another computer employing on-off processing system.
