扁桃摘出術の各種難治性皮膚疾患に及ぼす影響

THE EFFECT OF TONSILLECTOMY UPON TROUBLE-SOME DERMATITIS

　Ⅰ．緒言

　1900年始めPässler, Hunterの報告以来，扁桃が病巣となり幾多の全身疾患を惹起せしめることが知られている。しかし，皮膚疾患に関するものの報告は比較的少ない。われわれは慢性扁桃炎を持つ難治性の皮膚疾患40例に扁摘を施行し，かなりの効果をみとめたので報告する。

　With a premise that some skin diseases may be derived from focal infections originating in the tonsillar tissues, tonsillectomy was performed in 40 cases. Thirty five cases showed a complete healing or a considerable improvement in the skin affection.

　Tonsil massage was performed as preoperative provocation test, but no clear relationship was found between the results of this test and the postoperative state of the skin disease.

　In cases with relatively higher ASLO-titer, the prognosis appeared to be better. And the results were much better still when the tonsillectomy was performed in the earlier stage of the skin disease.
