左頸胸部刺入異物—洋傘による自殺未遂の1症例

PENETRATING WOUND OF THE APEX OF THE LEFT LUNG BY DISTAL END OF THE UMBRELLA IN SUICIDAL ATTEMPT

　I．はじめに

　耳鼻咽喉科の専門医は"救急"にのぞむことも多く，上気道をはじめ，食道異物，鼻出血などに対して，迅速かつ適正な処置を要求される。また疾患によつては，耳鼻科であつても，かなり一般外科的（場合によつては，脳外科的，胸部外科的）な処置を要求さ八ることも多い。ここにとりあげる症例は，救急センターより，何科に送るべきか判断できず，耳鼻科に紹介されたもので，その性格上からも稀有な症例であると思われるので報告する次第である。

　A 45-year-old schizophreaic male attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself in the lower part of his neck with an umbrella; the metal tip of the umbrella protruded into the left apical thoracic cavity.

　The patient was operated upon as an emergency; the umbrella was removed by a low neck incision. The patient recovered uneventfully.
