落雷による聴器損傷の一例

AN AURAL TRAUMA BY A THUNDER STROME A CASE REPORT

　I．はじめに

　聴器に対する外傷には種々なるものがあるが，最近われわれは落雷による聴器外傷を経験したので報告する。

　警察庁の調べでは^1），昭和37年から昭和41年までの5年間に落雷による事故は，死者167負傷者189と意外に多いが，聴器が主に傷害をうけた例は稀有で文献も少ない^2）-10）。

　A woman, aged 40, was struck by a thunder on a golf course and had a transient syncope. Examination showed a large central perforation of the ear drum, hemorrhage in the tympanic cleft and burns at the external auditory meatus. The deafness that involved the affected side gradually improved except for the high-tone. C-5 dip was also noted on the contralateral side.

　Pathophysiology of electrotrauma, especially by high voltage electricity such as a thunder strome, is discussed.
