MY METHOD OF SPHENOID SINUS OPERATION

　I．はじめに

　以下の項において示す図は，私が説明しようとする事項についてのSchemaである。したがつて，ある個所と他の部域との大きさ，あるいは距離の均合いへの考慮は，必ずしも含まれていないことをことわつておく。本論文の第1報^1），第2報^2），第3報^3）およびその他^4）を参照しながらこの図説を御覧願いたい。

　Four schematic views, including that of the partial removal of both, the frontal process of the maxillary bone and of the lacrimal bone, in order to clarify the position of the sphenopalatine artery where it emerges into the soft tissues of the nasal cavity by passing along the groove provided on the inner surface of the perpendicular portion of the palatine bone, are presented, so that this particular artery may be considered as a guiding post in the operative procedure of this area.

　The author suggests the change of terminology of the cell of the Processus obititolis of the palatine bone from Zellula as it has been called by Rauber to that of Foveola.
