　Ⅰ．緒言

　一酸化炭素中毒は近年，労働災害として，また家庭におけるガス使用普及などに伴ない漸増の傾向にある。今般，われわれは特異な聴覚障害を示した急性一酸化炭素中毒症例を経験したので，若干の考察を加えてここに報告する。

　A marked hearing disturbance was noted in a case of toxicosis due to carbon mono-oxide in a woman, aged 33, who was exposed to cooking-gas for the period of 10 hours with a suicidal intent but was successfully rescued. A loss of consciousness continued for a considerable time. But on about the 73rd day of her convalescence the patient began to complain of loss of hearing. Examination showed a marked loss. Various aspects of this loss are studied in detail.
