　Ⅰ．はじめに

　Candida albicansの死菌で前処置した家兎に同生菌を注射すると，くび曲り，自発眼振，強迫回旋運動などの平衡障害が出現する〔岩田（1963）^1）〕。この現象は一側迷路破壊やForsmannの"Intracarotid syndrome"などに類似するが異なる点も多い。本研究の目的はこの現象の本態を解明することにある。

　まず第一にこれらの症状の詳細な観察と，種々の前庭平衡機能検査とから病変部位を推定し，さらに症状の進展の各段階で組織学的に検査して，観察結果と組織検査との比較をおこなつた。

　When the suspension of Candida albicans is intravenously injected to the rabbits sensitized by dead body of Candida, the disturbances of equilibrium are observed, that is, head tilt, nystagmus and circus movement.

　By means of the vestibular examinations, the lesions are suspected not only in the labyrinth, but also in the central system of equilibrium.

　Histologically, the lesions in the inner ear are mainly observed in early stadium and the lesions in the brain are clearly observed in later stadium.
