眼窩より頭蓋腔に及ぶ巨大な表皮様嚢腫の1例

A LARGE EPIDERMAL CYST INVADING THE OPTIC FORAMEN AND CRANIAL CAVITY

　Ⅰ．緒言

　頭蓋及びその近接部位における表皮様嚢腫は比較的稀な疾患である。しかもそれが良性腫瘍とはいうものの解剖学的複雑さからくる症状は多岐にわたり，かつ嚢腫の別出後も再発をきたすことは少くないといわれておる。

　私どもは最近副鼻腔炎，或は眼窩腫瘍を疑われ手術の結果眼窩より頭蓋腔に及ぶ広範な表皮様嚢腫であることを確めえた症例を経験し，ここに報告する。

A man, aged 18, complained of left exo-phthalmos, double vison and visual distur-bances. The cause of these disturbances was due to a large epidermal cyst which extrad urally invaded the left optic fossa left fron-tal sinus and the middle cranial fossa. The tumor was removed by operation but 2 years later the growth showed a recurrence. At present writing it has not shown any further recurrence.
