苛性ソーダによる鼓膜癒着症の1例

　I．緒言

　最近我国の化学工業の発達は著しく，化学薬品による工場災害が多く報告されているけれども耳介に庇護され，屈曲した外耳道の奧にある鼓膜の損傷された例は稀である。

　鼓膜の損傷には介達性外傷，直達性外傷，諸種熱体による火傷，湯傷及び化学薬品による腐蝕等があげられている。

Kaizuka reports a rare case of a burn of tympanic membrane caused by a concentrated solution of caustic soda. The patient was a man, aged 33, who worked in a rayon factory and the accident occurred during the handling of the chemical. No perforation of the ty-mpanic membrane occurred but 2 months la-ter the central portion of the membrane was found to be adherent promontory which cau-sed a hearing loss the average of 10 db.
