イルコディンの耳鼻咽喉科領域への応用

　まえがき

　耳鼻咽喉科領域に於ける疼痛は咳嗽発作嚥下運動に際して誘発される場合が多く而も鎮痛剤の投与も経口的に行う事が困難な場合が屡々ある。特に口腔，咽頭喉頭等の手術又は炎症性疾患の場合には鎮痛，催眠，鎮咳，解熱，消炎等の作用を兼ね備え且つ習慣性が少なく作用時間が長くて疼痛閾値上昇率の高い薬剤の投与が屡々所望される。

　我々は最近スイスJ．R．Geigy社に於て創製された直腸内挿入剤である新鎮痛剤イルコディンを藤沢薬品工業株式会社から提供を受け，中耳根治手術，慢性副鼻腔炎根治手術，咽頭全摘術，扁桃摘出術の術後及び各種の耳鼻咽喉科疾患に使用し良好な結果を得られたので報告する。

The results of the use of Ircodin for anal gesia are found to be as follows:

(1) Besides having properties of being analgesic the agent is effective towards bringing sleep and allaying cough.

(2) Eight cases our of 14 affected with mouth, throat and laryngeal diseases showed a marked relief with use of the agent.

(3) No untowards side effect is noted even when the dose of the agent is increased twice the designated amount.
