ヂフテリー診療経験—その2 後麻痺と気管切開をめぐつて

　緒言

　国民衛生統計（昭和31年）によると，ヂフテリー罹患数は終戦後85833人（人口10万に対し118.5人），27年には8381人（人口10万に対し9.8人）と明治33年以来の低値を示したが，30年の患者は15557人（人口10万に対し17.4人）となり漸次増加の傾向にあるという。

　山形県鶴岡地区では30年末から近年稀な多発をみ，其の概要については先に志井田，五十嵐が報告したところであるが，引続き観察検討の機会を持つたので，今回は主としてヂフテリー後麻痺と気管切開をめぐつて経験せるところを報告する。

　Shiida and associates present second report on cases of diphtheria that occurred as an epidemic involving 487 individuals during the period of 16 months from January 1956 to April, 1957 in Tsuruoka District of Yamagata Ken. Their discussions on the subject include questions on treatment of paralysis, tra-cheotomy, antidiphtheritic serums, the use antibiotics, blood transfusions and operative treatments.
