耳性扁桃周囲膿瘍

　Ⅰ．緒言

　耳性下垂膿瘍としては，咽後膿瘍の報告は多数あるが，口蓋扁桃周囲膿瘍は比較的に少い。私達は異物によつて慢性穿孔性中耳炎が急性増悪を起し，口蓋扁桃周囲膿瘍を併発した一症例を経験したので，茲に其の大要を報告し御批判を得たい。

Sato and associates reports a case of peri-tonsillar sbcess which they believe that it had originated from chronic infection of the ear. In a woman aged 23 history reveals the pre-sence of ear discharge since early childhood of the patient. During the procedure of ear clea-ning which was usual for the patient for a long period of time a piece of paper was inadverta-ntly pushed far into the external canal. Since this incident the chronic condition in that ear changed into an acute exacerbation that requi-red radical mastoidectomy. Both, the ear and the throat made uneventful recovery after ado-ption of surgical means of treatment.
