Ultrastructure of Capillary Permeability in Human Brain Tumors: Part 4: Cerebral edema associated with meningiomas

I．はじめに

　髄膜腫には浮腫を伴うものと伴わないものがあり，両者の病理学的相違についてはいまだ不明な点が多い．両者で，部位，大きさおよび組織型を比較し，さらに腫瘍血管超微細構造の検索を行い，血管透過性の面より検討を加えた．

The cerebral edema, as judged by computed tomo-graphic scan, associated with supratentorial menin-giomas was assessed in 43 cases. No relationship to the occurrence or the degree of edema could be established with respect to meningioma location and histological type. The larger the meningioma, the more likely the presence of and the severity of cere-bral edema.

The materials were obtained from surgically re-moved specimens in 6 cases of meningiomas with and without associated cerebral edema, and tumor vessels were studied with conventional ultrathin sec-tion and freeze-fracture replica techniques.
