脳腫瘍血管透過性の超微形態—第1報 グリオーマ周囲低吸収域について

Ultrastracture of Capillary Permeability in Human Brain Tumors:part 1: Gliomas associated with cerebral edema (low density area)

I．はじめに

　近年，computerized tomograPhy（CT）によリグリオーマに伴った脳浮腫は，腫瘍周囲に認められる低吸収域（low density area，以下LDA）として容易に把握されるようになった．しかし，その本態の解明は十分とはいえない．もちろん，このLDAが直接，脳浮腫を示唆していることについては，異論のあるところであるが，今回は便宜的に脳浮腫として把握し，以下の研究を行った．

　CT上，高度にLDAを示したglioblastoma multi-forme 4例と，軽度に示したastrocytoma 3例を用い，両群の腫瘍血管の超微形態の違いを超薄切片法に加え，フリーズ・フラクチャー・レプリカ法を用いて透過電顕により検索し，血管透過性の面から検討を加えた．

In order to elucidate pathogenesis of perifocal edema in the human brain tumors, we observed the alteration of capillary permeability between the glio-blastomas with remarkable edema (4 cases) and astro-cytoma with slight edema (3 cases). Specimens were studied by conventional ultrathin section and freeze-fracture replica technique.

In ultrathin sections of capillaries in glioblastomas, some of these cell junctions were tortuous, elongated, in fact, open.
