Dural arteriovenous malformations involving the anterior cranial fossa are rare. Thirteen cases with detailed description were found in the literature.

Case report: 47-year-old male, without any relevant past history had sudden severe headache, nausea and vomiting on May 20, 1979. He was refered to us on June 6. On admission, neurological examination revealed moderate meningeal syndrome with mild right hemiparesis. Spinal tap yielded bloody CSF and 220 mmH2O in pressure. Computerized tomogram revealed a high density area in the left frontal region (Fig. 3).
