  • Look Inside

To reevaluate effects of steroid on cerebral injury, experiments were performed using 136 rats. As lesion making technique, radiofrequency telethermocoagulation method was adopted, detail of which had been already reported elsewhere. After brain injured, the rats were kept in newly devised animal cages for the purpose to observe daily activities of the rats for seven days.

According to doses of β-methasone administered, they were devided into four groups;

Group A (44 rats): control group.

Group B (38 rats): 0.64 mg/kg/day of β-methasone.

Group C (28 rats): 1.3 mg/kg/day of β-methasone.
