シャント手術後の硬膜下血腫について

Subdural Hematoma as a Complication of Shunting Procedures for Hydrocephalus

Ⅰ．はじめに

　シャント手術の合併症としては髄液誘導管の閉塞や感染が最も多く，それらについては数多くの報告があるが，硬膜下血腫については発生頻度も低くその報告は少ない．しかし，シャント手術施行に当って合併症としての硬膜下血腫の存在を考慮することはきわめて重要なことであると考える．

　本論文では文献上より集計したシャント手術後の硬膜下血腫例を検討し，著者らの経験を報告する．

Subdural hematomas as a complication of shunting operations for hydrocephalus are comparatively rare. In our clinic we have experienced only 2 of them in a series of 164 shunt-treated patients. We found one case of subdural hematoma in 50 patients with congenital hydrocephalus and one in 11 patients with normal pressure hydrocephalus. In our experience, the patient with normal pressure hydrocephalus appears to have higher incidence of subdural hematoma than those with congenital hydrocephalus (high pressure hydrocephalus).
