  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

In conventional cerebral angiography, an intracerebral hematoma shows only indirect signs, such as a shift or displacement of the adjacent blood vessels. Up to the present, brain scintigraphy has shown the extension of the hematoma as its positive findings, and during the last 2 or 3 years computed tomography has provided us with an easier and more certain means to catch the lesion on the photo, but it cannot show the hematoma and adjacent blood vessels simultaneously. Before the operation it is especially important to know the relation between the lesion and adjacent blood vessels.
