  • Look Inside

Histochemical and electronmicroscopic studies were made in an attempt to clarify the correlation between innervation of the cerebral arteries and hypothalamic function.

Destruction of the posterior hypothalamus was made by electrocoagulation through the trans-palatal approach in eighteen adult dogs. The dogs were sacrificed 1 day, 2 days, and 7 days after the operation, and the middle cerebral arteries were histochemically and electronmicroscopically examined.
