  • Look Inside

A 3-month-old boy, who had been noticed by his parents to have a large tumor in the occipital region since birth, was admitted to Osaka University Hospital Neurosurgical Service for surgery on 6 February 1973.

His face was asymmetrical; right side of the face was underdeveloped. The light reflexes of the pupils were sluggish and his vision was thought to be almost zero. While the upper part of the occipital tumor was soft, the lower part elastic firm. Also in the right temporal region, a soft tumor was present.
