  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Benzodiazepine and GABA receptors possess several pharmacologically important roles since there is a good correlation between anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, or muscle relaxant activity and benzodiazepine and GABA receptor bindings.

The effects of phenobarbital (PB), sodium valproate (VPA), carbamazepine (CBZ), phenytoin (PHT), diazepam (DZP), clonazepam (CZP), zonisamide (ZNS), and γ-vinyl GABA on specific 3H-flunitrazepam and 3H-muscimol bindings were studied in Sprague-Dawley rat brain.
