 Characteristics of magnetic resonance images and relaxation times of various tissues were demonstrated and edematous lesions were compared to other pathological tissues.

 Thirty-two sequential echoes were acquired by using Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill pulse sequence with the TE of 12 msec, and four images were reconstructed which contained coadded eight echoes each. Magnetic resonance imaging have been performed in a 0.14 T resistive type magnet (Type BNT 1000 J, BRUKER ANALYTISCHEMESSTECHNIK) at a radio frequency of 6 MHz.
