I．緒言

　中枢神経系組織の複雑な構造も構成要素から見ると神経細胞，神経膠細胞ならびに血管よりなっている。神経細胞ならびに神経膠細胞の形態を詳細に光学顕微鏡的に観察するためには種々の染色方法が案出されてきているが，これらの全体像と機能体系の基礎は先人たちによって研究，案出された鍍銀法によって築かれた，といっても過言ではない。

　電子顕微鏡その他の研究方法が導入されて新しい知見が得られている現在においても，神経系鍍銀法の重要性は増しており，さらにまた，新しい鍍銀法についての研究も進められて同時に鍍銀機構の解明に向かって研究が進められている現状である。

Abstract

This review article summarized recent our studies concerning techniques of silver impregnation for tissues of the central nervous system with somecomplex cyanides such as potassium dicyano-argentate and also hexacyanoferrates, namely potassium ferrocyanide and potassium ferricyanide. In this paper, those techniques of silver impreg-nation with some examples of the results obtained are presented and discussed.
