環境要因による脳発生異常

Developmental disorders of the brain caused by environmental factors

I．はじめに

　中枢神経系は複雑な発生過程をたどり，しかもその過程がヒトでは長い期間をかけて子宮内で行なわれるため，出生児の臨床所見，剖検のみから発生異常の実態をとらえることはきわめて難しい。このためヒトと同様の型の発生異常を動物に求め，胎生期にさかのぼって観察する実験奇形学的アブローチが形態形成機序の探究に大きな役割を持つ。

　しかし，比較発生学の立場から見た場合，実験的異常のヒトへの外挿には多くの制約がある。第一にヒトと実験用小動物との問の大脳の系統発生的へだたりが大きく，しかも小動物では脳の構造と機能の関連についてヒトと対比できる基礎的知見が乏しい。このため大脳の先天性機能欠陥と形態発生異常の成因的関連について実験知見の適用が難しい。

Abstract

The morphological investigation of experi-mentally-induced malformations of the brain in laboratory animals, if the malformations originated from abnormalities in the early developmental stage, will present useful information for under-standing human brain malformations, since the developing brains during their organogenesis and early histogenesis are similar among different species of mammals.
