Electrophysiology of peripheral nerves: Especially on the non-myelinated fibers

I．無髄神経線維とは

　無脊椎動物では巨大神経線維などの無髄線維をはじめとして，ほとんどの神経線維が無髄であるが，本項ではこれらを除外する。

　脊椎動物の体性神経（Erlanger ＆ Gasser^1）によるA線維）の軸索は人部分が中枢神経内にある。哺乳動物では神経細胞全体の1/1,000が末梢に現われるにすぎない^2）。真の末梢神経は自律神経（B線維）節後ニユーロンの軸索である細くて無髄の線維ばかりである。

　Non-myelinated peripheral nerves were classified into two groups : non-myelinated stem axons without myeline sheath in their whole course from the soma to the terminal, and terminal non-myelinated fibers which are emitted from a myelinated stem axon. The former membrane is characterized by a high density of Na⁺ channels and less K⁺ channels. The latter resembles the dendrites of neurones in the structure and function ; the membrane consists of a high density of Ca²⁺ and K⁺ channels and less Na⁺ channels.
